The City Government of Balanga, through the leadership tandem of Mayor Francis Garcia and Vice Mayor Vianca Venzon-Gozon has been recognized as the first LGU in Central Luzon to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

The City was commended for setting up a fully operational electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS), that streamlines the procedures for the filing of applications and issuance of local business licenses, permits, clearances, and authorizations through the use of single digital portal. Garcia and Venzon-Gozon transformed city governance through digitalization like the provision of streamlined services.

ARTA Director General Ernesto V. Perez recently presented in a ceremony the Certificate of Commendation to the city government represented by Business Permits and Licensing Office Head Noriel Dacion.
